The incredible adventures of Laura & Manu around the Galaxy
We met at the gym, yah! 😇😋 It was a chilli evening of early November 2021 for the start of the incredible adventures of Laura and Manu around the Galaxy, when Laura's sparkling eyes and Manu's dynamic temper were ready for an intense workout at the local gym 🤗 and that was the start of the incredible adventures of Laura and Manu around the Galaxy. We met there, at the gym, for the first time, chat for a bit and intermediately we felt a strong connection. I knew, and I knew that she knew, and she knew that I knew that she knew, that we both knew there was something more than just "I met this new girl/guy" in between us. Had we met before on another life? The way we felt in the companion of the other suggest that our souls have already share some time together, and for this present life....we are taking the relation to the maximum!
Let's put on this article some of the adventures that we've already done together. For each one of them I've chosen a limited number of pictures, otherwise it's crazy, I always take so many pictures!

I truly admire the endurance of Laura, and this is something that I think I also have. I'm an ex-legionnaire, a Green Beret of the Spanish Legion special forces, and even though that happened a long time ago, I still have on my body and my mind that "endurance" that you can only get in the army and similar places. Endurance that Laura also has...and in abundance! We both love a good workout, no wonder we met at the gym ☺️, but the workouts that we like are slightly different. At the gym, when people feel tired, they just stop for a break and go for a bit of water, a rest, a shower, etc, and they think they have done a good workout...right...incorrect! They may have worked out the body, no doubt about it, but not the mind that much. Laura is a girl that loves cycling....a lot! and the sort of workout that you get pedalling on a bike in the middle of the countryside is very much related to the mind. In there, when you are alone on your bike in the middle of nowhere, you cannot stop even if you feel tired, there is nowhere to go but forward, to push the body and the mind forward, nowhere to rest and no one to come for help, and that is what I call a proper workout and endurance
On Saturday 19 March 2022 Laura invited me to a trip by bicycle to Margate. She is very tough, and in the morning she cycled from London to Rochester, while me lazy man took a train with a bike I rented to meet her in Rochester at around 11 o'clock. Silly cow me, I had the impression that from Rochester to Margate there would be only a couple of hours cycle, but it was....seven hours!! haha Never trust a woman with a bike! 🤪 We had a great time in Margate, where we saw some amazing paintings of Joseph Mallord William Turner (JMW Turner) on exhibition. We also visited Ramsgate, an amazing, lovely city by the beach, don't miss it if you pass by!
As our friendship, trust and something grew stronger, we wanted to do things together, and on Saturday 24 April 2022 Laura invited me to the Alexandra Park Cycle Show, where we spent the day. I arrived late for the event and Laura....poor angel...she waited for me in the parking lot for over an hour!!!! Oh my God! I'm so sorry Laura that I arrived late 🙈 My heart really burst into joy when I saw you...and you were not upset for me being late.....you were happy that I had finally arrived. Indeed....Laura has a beautiful heart 💗
On Sunday 22 May 2022 we run 10k at Hampton Court Palace, and we won a....medal!!! 🥇😍 We arrived the very last of the runners! but in just slightly over an hours we overtook most of the other runners. It was actually good that we arrived late, it gives you the opportunity to overtake other runners. This was an amazing sunny day, and we also managed to see the beautiful garden of the Palace
Our first trip abroad was the weekend of 17-20 June 2022, where we flew to Bergen....well....better said, I just followed her and flew to Bergen (Norvieja haha) with Laura because she wanted to cycle on that city, and in spite of my fears she convinced to go with her. Thank you Laura!!! 🤩🙏 Bergen was absolutely amazing in your company! We stayed in a hostel a bit from the city but it was okay...they had an amazing Continental Breakfast! haha The problem that we had in Bergen was...to leave it! We met a guy called Dave that was staying at our hostel too and was the engineer at Bergen airport. He told us he was leaving the city on Sunday, and when we went to the airport on Monday morning our flight was cancelled because there was no maintenance personnel at the airport to do routine checks before the plane departures!
Laura introduced me her friends Jimmy and Linda on Saturday 6 August 2022, where we all went to Windsor by train for the day, it was a very hot day in the middle of the UK heatwave of summer 2022 🌞
She is just so adventurous, I love it! 🥰 On 14 of August I try to follow her to Norwich on a very disrupted yet brilliant trip: I was supposed to take a train to Cambridge where I would meet her, as Laura (as tough as she is) will go cycling from London all the way to Cambridge, but just before I boarded the train she called me saying the has a flat tired! 🚴♀️ oh dear! Anyway, at the end we met at Hertford from where we both cycle to Cambridge, yeeaha!! And from there took the train to Norwich. Honestly, it was such a lovely and fun trip!
We were still enjoying the summer, and on Saturday 10 September 2022, just a few days after Queen Elizabeth passed away, we went on the morning for a day ride to St Albans and Harpenden 💪🚲, two cities that I know very well that I wanted to show to Laura
This was by far the hardest adventure I have had with Laura: New Forest, Saturday 17 September, Laura had enrolled to do the longest of the Gang Warily, a cycle route around the New Forest national park that takes 160km...wow!! I was never be able to do that....but she did!!! We took a train to Southampton very early on the morning, and from there we had to cycle to the "meeting point" where Laura had to start the trip of 162 km at 9am. I never made, I was depleted and in urgent need of a coffee, but Laura is such a great warrior! The got on time to the start point and a few hours later we met each other again in Southampton.....and she had her well deserved medal! 😍 Well done Laura! You're amazing! 🥳
For many years I wanted to do the 21.0975 km Ealing Half Marathon, a district in the West of London where I used to live and where I got my degree in IT. And what a beautiful it is to think that I finally did it together with Laura, yes! It was on Saturday 25th September where we run the half marathon. Me lazy cow went to Ealing by tube, it took me just under an hour, but Laura....she decided to cycle it! So brave! She arrived just on time for the run, at 9am, and she was already tired for the cycling, and yet we completed together the half marathon in the superb time of just under two hours, not bad at all for our first half!
Laura and I went for a cool treat on lazy Sunday 9th October by visiting the Wall Climb sport activity near Canada Water station, it was brilliant! We laugh a lot
During summer we met quite a few times for random stuff in London, where we both live at the moment, there are some of the pictures of those amazing moments! 💔
Without any doubt, by far this is the "sunniest" journey that we have done together so far...we went to the beach!!! An amazing place in Gran Canaria called Bahia Feliz, where we stayed for a few days end of October to celebrate Laura's birthday 🥳🥂 We sun bathed, ride a car, cycled, swim, I even windsurf and we both ride a camel!! yeeehaa!!! We had a fantastic holiday time (save for silly Last Minute 😋) and one the thing I'd love to mention is that we manage to see the Green Ray, such a spectacle! Here is the picture:
To watch a green ray for me for a dream come true! I've read The Green Ray, a book by Jules Verne, when I was a teenager, and always green of someday watching a green ray, as legend says that if you manage to watch one during your lifetime you're destined to find true love. On the above picture of Laura, the green ray is about to flash in a few seconds. I decided at that moment NOT to take a picture of it, and simple watch it together with Laura.....⭐💖
13. 10k Victoria Park and Fireworks
For Saturday 5th November we had setup a busy day! haha. It was raining like hell, and yet in the morning we went to Victoria Park where we run 10k, another medal achievement! 🥇Then, in the evening, we had booked the show of Fireworks for 5 November at the Battersea Park, such a great spectacle! It was amazing! I recorded a video of the event when Laura says: "corazonzito!" (little heart!) I love it!
I had the privilege of attend Laura's "British Coronation" on 8th November, where she finally attained the British Citizenship nationality at Bromley Civic Centre, it was an inspiring ceremony and I'm so glad that I managed to witness Laura's happines as the was given the citizenship. Now, she is British and Italian! What else could be wrong? haha
The weekend of 19 November, Deborah, a good friend of Laura, came to London to spend the weekend with her, and we all went around the city. I joined them both, together with Sophie on Saturday night of that weekend, and we had a great time together, we even run to catch the train! haha
Laura has a beautiful heart! 🙏💗 To celebrate my birthday which is end of November, she invited me to a surprise event...a diner boat! Woooww, I was not expecting that at all! We went into a boat in the Thames whre we had dinner for a few hours going up and down the river while a singer was performing on the stage, and eventually even I danced! Thanks so much Laura for organising this, it was fabulous!!!
As a small Christmas present, it occurred to me to treat Laura for a hydro-facial near Marble Arch, she enjoyed it! And there are we went to the Jungle Cave for dinner, wolf!
And yes!! A lot more of adventures to come!!! 😍 Stay tuned
