Backup and delete emails when using Google Workspace

If you are using Google Workspace for support you company, you may wonder how to backup and delete emails when using Google Workspace, specially when one of your employee leave. You do want to keep the email for a while (GDPR policy allowed) for business purposes, but you do not want to keep paying for the license to do so, what to do then?

The solution is to use the imapsync tool to copy emails from that leaver's account to a 'backup' account, this is how to do it

1) Download the imapsync tool from this link: https://imapsync.lamiral.info/dist/ 

2) First of all, ensure that 2FA is enable for both acounts

3) Visit this link to create an "app password" for each of the accounts that you want: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords 

2) Create an script to copy the email from A to B, this is an example:
